Ecm?

Were are swapping an '84 LG4 into our '82 V6 Berlinetta. The 305 doesn't have a carb or a distributor.I have an older HEI from the seventies, can we use it?What carb can we use? Any old QJet?I have an intake from an '81 truck that we can use.Can we unhook the ECM? This computer stuff sure throws a wrench into a swap doesn't it?Experiences needed.

First of all you dont need an ECM for a carb unless it is computer controled, but... your gages most likely went through the computer at some point and probably wont work without looking into the wireing diagrams and doing some rewireing but I may be wrong. I do know the truck intake will work and yes just about any carb will work and for the distributor I think you can get to work without much trouble also.
