Ok, I have a 1989 Dodge Shadow with the regular 2.2 w/o turbo, I want to swap that engine for a 2.2 or a 2.5 w/ turbo, Do you guys know if there are any things that I have to change?

the biggest problem you face, is that nomatter which chrysler 4cyl you swap in, it will evenually spew the blue smoke. sorry.

the best way to do the swap is swap over EVERYTHING from the donor car to yours. just like the 6-8 swaps here.

read up on the posts for those adding turbo/supercharger to reg engine. This will give you a good idea on what's involved.

I have a friend with a 89 Dodge Shadow 2.2 Turbo. Slow even with more boost. Kinda hard to go fast when the turbo is the size of your fist.

They're pretty expensive for a good one, 225 hp stock isn't bad at all for a 4 banger, It was a DOHC Intercooled Turbo with Lotus Heads!!!! I paid 1200.00 for my Shadow ES with the 2.5 turbo, I think a good price for a 1993 Daytona IROC R/T would be about 8 or 9 grand.
