What "305 TPI", and what "350 TBI"?
Are you saying you have a car with a 305 TPI, and a 350 engine that originally was in a vehicle with TBI? If so, then take out the 305 and put in the 350. Injectors, knock sensor would probably help, but wouldn't be absolutely necessary (in most cases - some people have reported exceptions).

No, i have a 88 firebird w/ a 350TBI already in it. I also have a wrecked 89 with a 305TPI. I am going to take off the 305s TPI setup and put it on my 350. I just dont know exactly how I am going to do the switch. Thanks

intake faces should be the same. Youll have to move all the tpi components over to the car with the 350. pretty much the whole induction system along with the wire harness and ecm. Youll need better fuel lines and a high pressure fuel pump too. Where did that 350 origionally come from? Is it an lo5?
i had the same basic question. my car is smoking a bit, and i'm not sure what to do about it. i was thinking of going to the junkyard and grabbing a 350, rebuilding it (crank, pistons, rings, cam)and all that bussiness. then taking the tpi setup from my 305 and taking it off, pulling the 305(with the induction parts off), drop in the 350, and slap on the induction stuff. BUT, that the hell is a knock sensor?????and what will need to be changed?

pretty much your injectors knock sensor (its on the pass side of the block) and possibly a custom prom depending on how radical the motor is. Not too much difference between a 305 and a 350. Just make sure you get the correct motor for your year. Probably a one piece seal with 87 and up heads for you.
The knock sensor is just a transducer that sends a signal to the ecm so it knows to retard the timing whenever engine ping is detected
