changing my crossfire to carbed

I'm putting in a crossfire engine in my car. I don't want the feul injection so i'm putting on the carburator unit from another lg4 i had. The thing i'm wondering about is will my mechanical feul pump pump? The cross fire has a filter mounted in the spot the pump mounts to, so if i remove all of that, and stick on my mechanical feul pump stuff, Is there something inside the engine that will pump it? or would it require interior enigne mods?
thanks alot.

There is a rod that goes between the cam and fuel pump. Shouldn't be hard to get one (take it out of the LG4 engine, if you still have it).

To the best of my knowledge, it was only after the last carb was made (1987) that the factory stopped putting the fuel pump lobe on even any of their cams. Most still had it even then. But, the crossfire engines should have the lobe. Wouldn't be hard to check - put the push rod in, hold it up with your finger, turn the engine over two complete turns (by hand by an assistant if possible), see if the push rod moves.
