fan isn't working???

I just did an engine swap, 92 305 TBI to 89 350 TPI and the fan isn't turning on when it should. I checked the fuse, swappped the relays, and jumped the relay (to make sure the fan works which it does). I can't figure out where to turn next.

is it the computer that tells the fan to turn on or is there a sensor that tells it to??

any help is appreciated

thanks
John

I find it better to by pass the relay and make a fan switch inside your car so you have control of it at all times. I find that this is better then waiting for the damn relay to kick in to turn your fan. With doing this you can replace your thermostat and run your engine cooler.

That's what I have done. I hit a switch and both fans come on at the one time. I only really put them on when sitting in traffic, but it works like a charm.
