bad regulator or bad guage??

ok guys my car stalls when i turn hard or hit the brakes hard when in nuetral and on the edelbrock website it said high fuel pressure can cause this to happen. now i think this is my pro cause i converted from TBI to CARB and used a mallory 3-port regulator and i have a sumit guage hooked up to it and when i adjust my pressure to lik 5-6 the next day it will be 2 or 12 or sumtin way wrong so i re adjust it. i am thinkin my guage is bad so i am gonna replace it tomorrrow and see if that works. now if the regulator is bad wut coudl go bad in it? and could i fixit cause i don;t think i can return it anymore. thanks guys

Had the same problem with my pressure reading inconsistant from day to day..more like hour to hour.Turns out the gauge was bad..try a new gauge first.I went with an Autometer in car gauge with isolator.6 psi all the time no matter what

by any chance did u have a summit guage?? i was thinkin about the in car guage but its to much money cause of the isolator, then i was thinkin get the outside one and put it in a cup on my hood but i figured it might not work right or sumtin. so i am goin with the kind that just goes in your fuel line.

Wasn't a Summit..it was a Russel guage.I am pretty sure they are made by the same company. The in car gauge is fairly expensive..but I can keep my eye on it at all times..makes me feel better to be able to monitor what is happening under the hood while driving.
