Got beat by civic, in process of acquiring 383 parts. Got a question though

Alright guys, i know if you upgrade the 350 to a 383 you need a new balancer and a new flywheel. My question is how does putting on a different balancer affect the mounting of that little tab with the timing marks on it? Second, if i get the new flywheel do i need a new starter? Thanks again for all the help you guys have given me in the war against mustangs and rice.

There are a few types of balancers. If your timing mark is at 2 oclock you will need a blancer that is marked at 2 oclock. If you have a pointer at 12 o'clock then you will need a balncer marked at 12. You don't need a new started when you change your flywheel, you will need to get the same size flywheel that you have now, just externally balanced.
