Idle talk

hello, i would like to know what gives the choppy
missing sound in a camshaft.
Is it overlap caused by tight lsa? or high duration?
I have a 4 bolt 350, with vortec heads and the rpm intake,
and probably getting a 650 cfm carb.
I like highway driving, but top speed isnt an issue.
car has 5 speeds and 3.45 gears.

thx for any help
