v6 to v8 will it work?
v6 to v8 will it work?
heres my problem: I had a 1987 trans-am with a non-computerized 305 ( computer taken completely out ) and the car had been wrecked. since the 305 is very streetable, yes its been worked, I pulled the engine/tranny out and found a 1986 firebird with a v6 in it. I want to put the 305 and tranny in the 86 but was told the cross member is in the way. I'm not an idiot when it comes to this stuff on mopars but this is the first gm I've owned and would like some help.

Engine: L98
Transmission: 700R4/4L60 same trans different name
who ever is telling you this information:
stop listening to them cuz they have no idea what the fu(k they are talking about
all you need to do with regards to stuff like that is buy new motor mounts, remove the old motor mounts, and bolt the new motor mounts in the correct V8 bolt holes (which are already there)
simple as that (although the bolts may be a little challenging to access)
