Here's the deal. My t-5 is dying as is the 2.8. I'm not selling the car so don't start up with all the "buy a v8 car" stuff. Seeing as how spending a few grand to rebuid both engine and tranny would be a waste, what is my best bet for going to a 350? It's gonna have to be a smog legal swap, so a carbed engine is out. I was thinking of doing an LT1 swap cause I could get one with a t-56. I'm wanting to keep the car a manual, so that seemed like it'd probably be the most practical way to go. But would it be cheaper to buy a t-56 and an l98 seperately? Are there any other engine options that I should be considering? Also where is the best place to buy the engine/tranny? Thanks, Joe
