V6 motor swap pics...
Well after a week of coming home after work and putting in a few hours a day of wrench twisting, knuckle busting, tool throwing, swearing; it finally came out this evening. With the help of my neighbor (An old school hot rodder, you could not ask for a better neighbor) we got the V6 out. So here are a few pics of our victory.
This was at night so the pics did not come out to well. Will take some more pics this weekend as I start to clean up.

Here is the last one for now. I tell you what, it was not too easy getting the engine to tilt up. as you can see from the pic it is tilting up and to the drivers side. We only hit one of two snags. For example, one of the main wiring harnesses has a grounding bolt on both heads. I had found the one and did not think to look for the other until it was catching on the way out. The other snag was when we tried to back the engine puller out of the garage with the engine on it, the tip of the lift was stuck on the garage door. But with a little manuvering, it worked out. So now the V6 sits nicely on the back patio until I clear some room in the garage.
It has been an exciting and humbling experience so far. Now the fun begins. Building a 383 stroker to put in the Rally.

I am going to go with a carb on top of the 383. Nothing like raw gas guzzling power! I had tinkered with the idea of going with fuel injection, but due to costs and headaches, I decided with the carb. Of course I need to sell the V6/T5 first before I an buy a block.
As I continue with this long project, I will make sure to post new pics and updates as I go. With Christmas coming, I will have to take a break from project Rally, and spend some money on the wife. (Even though this is her car.)
