396.... Problem?
Anyone here able to tell me if I can fit a 402 in my 86 t/a pretty easily? Am I gunna have to tear out the heater box or anything like that? I already ripped out the air cond. Now I just need to check into if the swap will work. If I go with this, are headers gunna be difficult?

Pretty easy = LITTLE bit more hassle than dropping in a 350.
How bad is it gunna be for the headers?
Is the initial engine being dropped in gunna be a hair pulling experience? Do I need to remove the front end while installing it?
It is a carbed 86, 350, 5-spd (girlfriends car)
I have a 396 worked up sittin to go in, and switching it with my 700-r4. I just hope that tranny holds up. I have a shift kit and higher stall torque converter.

It'll fit in the engine compartment but it is tight with headers. I'm going with a short water pump and cowl hood in mine. I had a delay due to other projects but all I have left to do is finish the engine and in it goes with a T-56.
