Will the GM Performance 454 fit?
Gen VI
Horsepower: 425 hp @ 5250 rpm
Torque: 500 ft/lbs @ 3,250
Compression Ratio: 8.75 to 1
Block: Gen VI Cast Iron 4-Bolt Main
Crankshaft: Forged 1053 Steel, 4.000" Stroke
Heads, Chamber Size: Rectangular Port Cast Iron, 118cc
Valves (I/E): 2.190"/1.880"
Camshaft, Lift (I/E): Hydraulic Roller, 0.510"/0.540"
Dur. @ 0.050" (I/E): 211/230 degrees
Intake : Tunnel Ram Jet
My question is will the GM 454 fit the chasis of my IROC, the GM site says the oil pan will not clear, i have a friend with a 502 in his, anyone with a 454?

Well they're the same size externally. Just use the same oil pan that your friend used and it'll fit.

The early pans won't work. You need one for an engine with the one piece rear main.
You could get a pan from a 91-93 454SS truck. It's a GenV engine but is also a one piece rear main.
