LT-1 Swap into 1985 T/A HELP???
LT-1 Swap into 1985 T/A HELP???
OK guys i've read alot on the lt1 swap on these posts!
In general what i'm looking for is
1.) what is needed to swap the lt1 into this year f-body
2.) what special problems i may encounter doing this swap
3.) I would like a general list on how to do this swap
Before you answer I'll give you what I have in the car now. And what I want to put in the car..ok he goes!!
1985 T/A "G" 305 w/carb
5-speed t-5
10 bolt rear w/ 3.73 gear
power everything
4-wheel disk brakes....got lucky on that!!!!
here is what I'm planing to put in the car!!
1998 LT-1 police motor
700r4 ( aftermarket )
rebuild 10 bolt to posi and stronger
msd ignition
hooker headers and cat-back system
dakota digtal gages ( custom made )
and i know that with this much hp i got to use sub-frame connectors and such for the chassis flex.
i would like to use the A/C if possible
The biggest thing that really gets me is that the stock wireing is shot to hell. I've got to replace it all, less the interior part
I'm not a big wireing buff i get confused very quickly.
Just about all relays and switches are toast.
so any help will be greatly appreciated
