Looking for a wiring harness to swap in a LT1
I have a 95 LT1 I have seen the painless harness in jegs but will it just plug into my 91 RS? or will I have to wire all my gauges up . That is the only thing I am really worried about is getting the spedo tach oil and fuel temp gauges to work. Any info will be Helpfull Thanks Sean Car is a M6 if that matters.
I have just completed an engine swap and i did not use the wiring harness. It is from a 94 Trans Am and it is from the computer to all the sensors. The onlt thing that is missing is the connector for the AC compressor. Make me an offer $$$

Hi, as per your wiring harness and gauges, it will be easy to do, All you need is a haynes or chilton and to know which wire is which at the 2 ECM connectors of your camaro. it will be a bit hard to wire the VSS (vehicule Speed Sensor) since it runs on a realy by it self.
the LT1 wiring harness is easy to work with, as per the gauge there's 8-9 wires altogether to plug and you're in business, they are only signal wire, not powering everything in the dash .
Ask me if you need more help .

I mad emy own, not hard to do and you get exactly what you want. The only thing I am unsure of on your car is the electric speedo drive.
Buy a manual that covers the LT1 wiring, or search for the computer pin outs on the net. Keep the wires that you will require for which functions you want your LT1 ecm to provide and remove the rest of the wires from the harness starting from the ecm end. Pretty simple!
Your other guages will work directly with the ones on the LT1 except maybe the oil pressure sending unit, use your old one.

go to http://www.hotrodlane.cc they have them, they require no cutting of the wires, which yelds much more of a pro look and feel to the swap.

I have the Painless harness part #60502. If you go to http://unitsn4.cz28.com/ you can see a pic of it. I got it from Year One's Next Gen Parts Division with a 20% off coupon for somewhere around $375 shipped.
