87 IROC into 91 GTA

Okay, when i swap the 350tpi from an 87 IROC into a 91 GTA the previously had a 305 tpi, what kind of stuff do i need from the IROC and what stuff can i use from the 305. I am talking about the computer, harness, knock module, etc. Will i need to get a prom burned? Also whats the easiest way to convert the 350 to a speed density? can i bolt the entire 305 intake on the 350 and use the 305 computer and stuff?

the 305 setup will work with a new prom (although the injectors might be a lil small) best thing to do will be to just swap the whole thing outta the IROC (except the wireing that should be the same) into the GTA.

I'm not going to try to pass myself off as any sort of TPI expert, but do MAF and SD systems really use the same wiring?

. I would really like to have the SD setup.

The reason i am asking this question is because i do not have the IROC. a club member has it so everythin i get, i have to pay for. thats why i want to know if i need the computer, harness, and whatever. I would like to use as much stuff off the 305 as possible. if i put the 305's intake on the 350, i could replace the injectors with some bigger ones. Plus i polished my plenum on the 305 and don't want to do it again..

Nope.

You should use the SD stuff, throw the 350 in, and look into having someone make a couple changes on a chip for you. Not sure how a SD system would deal with a cubic inch change and no others.

As far as I know gm uses a standard wiering harness for everything.

Not even close. Carbed, TPI SD, TPI MAF, TBI, CFI, all different engine harnesses.

bascially just put the 350 in it, and use the 305 tpi 91 stuff and work from their!

okay,MD, thats what i'll do

But one more question, will the 305 intake manifold, bolt up to the 350s heads. BTW: I am gonna port the heads and have and edelbrock base on there too with some SLP runners and a ported plemun and 58MM TB.
