SBC 350
-vortec heads
-cam: Specifications:
* Advertised duration: 282 intake/292 exhaust
* Duration at .050 in. cam lift: 224 intake/234 exhaust
* Gross valve lift: .465 in. intake/.488 in. exhaust
* Lobe separation: 114 degrees
* RPM range: 2,200 to 5,700
-performer RPM intake
700R4 stock or 2000stall
3.73 gears
what 1/4 mile would it get me?
would it compare to a LT1 or LS1?
thanks

The heads will need a good bit of work to handle that much lift. You'll need a Vortec-specific manifold. The lobe separation sounds a little high, but should be okay for a good idle.
You're going to need more stall. At least 2500.
What are your exhaust plans?
Too many "power to the pavement" unknowns to give a good ET estimate, but you should be well over 100 mph.

well the motor is already done and has been in another car, he is rebuilding it for me.........its already had the right mods to the heads to make it handle the lift............would a XE262 or 268 cam b better? cuz that is what i wanted to put in it...........
also the reason why i asked what it would run in my car is becuz his car has 3.08 gears with a 4-speed and a crappy carb'

well i called up comp cams and they told me that this cam would be the best for my setup
http://www.compcams.com/information/...umber=12-404-4
now how does this compare to a XE 262 or XE268
cuz i have roughly $100 in store credit at jegs for returning a part so i would like to use that money for a cam and i dont think they have the one that they suggest.........
