350 into my 89 RS
350 into my 89 RS
I have a chevy 350 out of a 70's van. It has a 2 piece rear main seal and the new engines have a one-piece seal. What will I need to buy to put this into my 5-speed car? I believe I'll need a new flywheel right? Where can I get the one I need to put this 350 in my car? Also, aluminum or steel flywheel for street driven car that will see some drag time?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

All that I can see you needing is the flywheel like you already mentioned. You just need to make sure that it is a 153 tooth wheel that will bolt to a 2 peice rear main seal crankshaft. So as if you're wondering about the application, an 82-85 F-Body flywheel should work. You might also need a new tranny shortly afterward if you have that 350 making any decent power too.
