i know everyone swaps lt1 into thirdgens my question is would an ls6 swap be the same as a lt1 swap? if not what else would be involved?

Yeah, try to do a search. Not flaming, just letting you know. And the LS6 is the same externally as the LS1, just different engine components that you would be able to bolt on at a later date if you had an LS1. So if someone were to try and sell you an LS6, be careful of the price if that is their main selling point, that "its an LS6", OHH, AHH, big deal! Just watch what you are paying for if you decide to go through with it. Do a search for Speartech i believe, they have done it and offer the motor mounts too i believe. Try thirdgen resource to as a good form of info. Good luck, its a costly swap. But it should be worth it. Thirdgens avg high 12s-low 13s with just a "stock" LS1 swap, from what i have seen anyway.
