i want to swap my v6 mpfi to a fuel injected 350 i just don't know ecactly what to look for, is there different part numbers for the different years and models of engines? any suggestions on which engine i should use?
i know i have to change the tranny to handle the power and the computer and wiring harness but what else do i need to change?

Engine: L92/LQ4 (both w/4" stroke)
Transmission: 4L80E/4L80E
Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
You need to change the tranny because what you have won't bolt up to a V8.
Get a donor car that has the type of engine and transmission you want. Change everything that is different, and the list of things that are different is very long (that's why you get a donor car - so you have it all).
Unless this car has some sort of sentimental value, it doesn't make economic sense to do this. The money saving route is to sell the V6 car and buy a V8 car like you want.

i know it sounds kinda corny but this was my first car and i never plan on getting rid of it. i acually think i want to go with an LS1 or LT1. whats the difference between the two? what your opinion on them vs. the 350? would it be a better choice to go with the newer engines and put 4th gen parts (brakes, tran, ect)?
