2 probably rather simple LT1 questions

searching hasnt worked for all ive tried.. can i retain the stock V6 in tank fuel pump for the LT1? i remeber hearing of people leaving it in for TPI swaps, and leaving the TPI pump in for LT1 swaps, so i figured why cant i leave the V6 one in for an LT1?

one last question might be stupid.. but it cant hurt to ask lol if i install the a/c idler pulley on the LT1 instead of the ac pump n all, does that mean i will just have no cold a/c, or will i have no cold a/c and no heat too... i can live without a/c in the summer, its just the whole winter without heat thing that bugs me more personally

thanks!

Not sure on your first question, but if it's the same pump as v8s use I'd suspect that you can.

You'll still have heat as long as your blower motor works and coolant circulats through your heater core.
