Transmission: TH700
I was thinking about doing it. I drilled a 1/2 starter hole but notice the fuel line are too close. I would have to drop the tank so I'll have 2 inches of clearence or the blade. I could bolt or pop-rivit the panel back on. awhile back someone did do it, he changed his fuel pump in minutes not hours. Alot of people don't like, but cutting a 12"x12" square won't weaking the body that much. It was thick metal, even for a sawzall.

On this board it is considered a HACK job, none of the Pro's here will help you cut up your car...but it is YOUR car do what ya want...if you do a search someone posted some pics awhile back.

Replacing the pump isn't so hard a job that I'd cut my car. Of course you didn't ask either.
Anyway since I started...
I've done it twice (thank you Autozone). Once two weeks after an appendectomy... that wasn't any fun but I still wasn't going to cut my car... just doesn't seem right...

its a total hack job since the lines connect over by the frame rail, you have to cut the lines unless you make a really big assed hole.
