Motor Mount help and more
My friend dropped a 350 out of an 86 camaro into an 89 firebird that originally had a 305, i got it down to the garage at my high school so i could work on it, i put new motor mounts in but the motor is still crooked, i know i was supposed to move the mounts to different holes and i found those no problem but the motor is still un-even. any words of wisdom would help me, thanks.
you should not have had to move the mounts, the 305 and the 350 have exactly the same mounting points. if the car had a 305 from the factory dropping the 350 in should have been a direct bolt in (as far as the mounts go).

So why won't they work in that position? Th e only time ya move the mounts ar in a v-6 to v-8 swap...then you move them to the forward most set of holes...or BB- swap and so on...a SBC is A SBC...as far as mounts are concerned..
