350
Hey, I have a '91 Z Convt. with a 5 speed. I'm wondering, It has TPI, so what would have to be changed to swap with a 350? Would it just be remove the old engine, and bolt the new one in? How much (ballpark estimate) would it cost to bring it to a shop and have them put a 350 in it (cost of engine and labor)?
Oh, and what else would have to be done to make this combination work? I'm assuming the tranny would have to go, and I'd need some SFC's, but is there anything else?

If you get a 350 of the same vintage as your 305, with the correct year range heads, then the only things you have to change are the injectors and the chip, and possibly add a AFPR.
The trans will bolt right up.
SFCs are always a good idea in these cars, even if all you have under the hood is a 4-cyl.
