engine and ecm matching

im swapping my v6 for a v8 350 tpi. the engine im looking at is an 88 350 tpi out of a gta. my car is a 92 v6. i know 92 350s and 92 v6's use the same ecm. so i was thinking about trying to use my ecm with the 88 engine. im pretty sure the egr and air systems are the same. im not sure about fuel injectors matching though because the 88 had a cold start valve and the 92 doesnt. does anyone have anymore info on this, do you think it will work? any opinions? help is greatly appreciated. I also know the Map sensor is the same.

I don't think it will work unless you change the tpi. The 92 tpi was speed density, 88 is maf. Are you sure that the v6 is the same computer as the v8 tpi cars? My 89 was different for the v6 than for the v8.
