Kind of depends on what's on there now, and what you put back on... could make it worse. There's alot more to evaluating heads than just seeing what size valves somebody graunched into them. You can take the crappiest heads there ever were, 267 heads or something, and stick 2.02" valves in them; still wouldn't run good.
Got casting numbers? That's what really matters.

those heads came on a camaro, corvette, nova and chevelle. they were factory "special high performance", they were on engines that produced 300 hp-350hp. and were only produced in 1967-1968. In my opinion putting bigger valves in would make a difference. but just my 0.02

IIRC they don't have bolt holes for installing minor details like..... an alternator. They also don't have the "squish" area near the plug, that is a significant adaptation to modern gasoline. Heads without that tend to ping and detonate far more easily than the later double-humps that also have the bolt holes.
If these are for a street motor going in a thirdgen, they're a bad idea. They won't fit your car even though they'll bolt onto your block. Great heads for their day but that day is long gone. There's more to choosing heads than just the out-of-the-box flow.

well, i have the brackets to run everything off the water pump.
i got the heads for free, and i wanted/am going switch them. i was asking if i would notice a increase in h.p. over the scock 1.94 heads.

I got 2.02 Double Humps ported on the motor goin in my car. It was fairly easy to use those heads on the car. They had no acessory holes. Me and my dad fabbed up brackets to make everything work and it turned out real nice.

sure would like to see a picture of you brackets......I have some 462's without acc holes I took out of mine....I'm using them to practice porting. as far as I'm concerned that is all they are good for.....technology has come a long way in 40yrs.

I've seen brackets made like that.... they're why those old heads without bolt holes aren't worth anything any more. The problem is that where the alt bolt needs to go, there's no material in the head to drill a hole; and there's not enough space to put a bracket that's thick enough to have enough strength to last any significant amount of time, and to hold the alt in place to where it doesn't flop around and throw belts. I notice, that one guy who has some of those heads is taking them off and putting something else on there, and it's for some other reason besides because they don't run good.
I heard once that some guy jumped out of a plane, and his parachute failed, and he survived anyway. Does that mean we can all jump out of planes and don't need parachutes? I don't think so.
We'd all like to believe that we're smarter and more capable than average, and I'm sure we all are; but if it was so easy and reliable to replace those bolt holes, you wouldn't be able to buy those old heads for next to nothing today, because people would still be able to use them.
A race-only situation, where you might not even have an alternator at all, is alot different from a street car.
I also notice, that the guy that says he has brackets that work, hasn't run them yet.

I couldnt keep belts on the altenator or the power steering..the P/s being the worst..I also got alot of detonation and knocking, not to mention the 3 sets of plugs I went through in 1 year. Sometimes we have to work with what we have. I know. But I would at the least put new heads on your wish list..actually, I'm pretty confident you will,,

Can you even use heads that old on unleaded gas? I'm pretty sure those will not have the hardened valve seats you'd need to run unleaded pump gas.
well, i made brackit for the altenator that has apart of it held into place with the first header screw. they did run fine for 3 days, but my father changed oil in my engine, and did not put enough back in, so i ended screwing the motor. now im putting a big block in it.
