any special 'tricks' to spling the tranny into the motor when dropping the motor in?
My l98 is going in the car tomorrow (finally!) and I'm just looking to see if anyone has any tricks to splining the tranny into the motor as you're dropping it in. It seems to me that getting it to line up nicely is going to be a PITA. Any help is appreciated. Thx.

Piece of cake. Don't worry about it. That's one of the esaiest parts of the whole procedure.
Loosen its mount bolt, slide it as far forward as it will go, and raise it up to where it's against the tunnel. They'll hook right up.

If You have an Automatic make usre the Torque stays with the transmission. Make sure it is locked into the pump. Lower the engine, and bolt it up, then bolt the torque. If you don't do it this way, you're pump won't be engaged even though everything is attacked properly. Then you will blw the transmission.
