I don't know what kind of power you're looking for out of this crate engine but if you go to SDPC they have a pretty good selection of crate motors on their site.

I bought this crate motor last year:
http://www.goautocenter.com/300hp_tpi_1987-89.htm
Ordered it with the optional tbi cam (towards the bottom of the page)
It's in my 92 RS daily driver. So far has over 25,000 miles on it with no troubles. Reliable as the stock 305 was and makes lots more power. Been very satisfied with it.
If you're going to a carburetor, you'll probably be better off with the GMPP HO 350 (330HP).

i did the swap with the gm 350 ho deluxe. after a change of gears to from stock 308's to 373's i run a high 12 and low 13's consistintly. i was very impressed. 1400 miles and no problems
i wuld suggest this motor if you want reliability and performance. with the 373's i am getting 18-20 miles to the gallon. you may need t o beef up the 700r4 a little though

Go with the GM crate 383HT it features at 3.8" stroke. I think the pistons are KB hypers and the crank is a Cola.
