Motor Swap help
I have a 1991 Camaro RS, it had a 305 TBI, I have put a 355 Carb engine. I'm having all kinds of finalizing probs
1: The Serpentine Brackets from the 305, are not lining up, (the block that is being used for the 350 is out of a 1986 GM truck) but from what I understand, these stock brackets will fit, so why are they not fitting? The 3 bolts for the heads line up fine and the 2 bolts on the block line up fine but when I put all five together, the top part seems to sit higher. Could they have warped over the years? If so, can I just Drill/bore the holes bigger so they line up.
2: Once, I get the brackets working right, I dont need the smog pump so how do i go about Bypassing this, while still using my stock brackets?
3: I want to use all my stock gauges if possible. How do I do this, if I can? I have been looking and the Tach, and i think I can use the old wire setup for the car but do they run to the ECM first before giving a reading to the gauge in the car? And is there a resistor, Cause I will need to remove that to get full work out of my GM High Performance HEI.
If needed I can take pictures and post them up for more assistance if there is a communication prob
Or if this is to much to talk about or help I can just sell it to you and let me grow back some of my hair, cause this not fun anymore.

No such thing as a bolt in, is there.
Your brackets between head and block may be a thick head gasket issue. Just use a rat-tail file to open up a couple of holes until they fit.
I know people talk about smog pump delete pulley set-ups, but I don't know anything about them personally. You might try a search (include the Tech forum). I thought SDPC had such a setup, too.
Your stock gages will work if you use the stock wiring that was used before. However, I'm not sure what resister you're talking about, hopefully someone else can answer that question.
