Oil Leak Solution

I have a oil leak since I built the engine. I first notice it when I had the engine on the hoist ready to install it into the car, but as it tilted it back for the tranny to go in it started leaking from the rear seal. At that time I had a chrome oil pan. Ok I get rid of the chrome pan and buy me a summit stock replacement pan and the blue 1 peice oil pan gasket. While on the hoist for the second time it did not leak, however since I have gotten the car running its slinging oil from the seal. Its coming from the top of the seal between the block and pan. Now since I made the change on the pan and gasket I was thinking that the next problem could be bolts are bottom out before there enough torque to hold the seal completly shut. Have anyone had this type of oil leak before that just dont want to go away and what did you do to solve the problem.

also make sure there's no jagged edges/crud/corrosion on the surfaces the gasket seals that could enable a leak

Follow Up:
I drop the oil pan and pulled the main cap to find the the bearing was MISSING. Gentleman thats what happens when you drink Bud Light and build engines. How can some people say they drive better when they are drunk, I dispute that.

Now im off to Autozone to get me a rear main seal, and you best believe I will not drink a beer this time.
