LT4 cam = NO EGR
At least I think: I was looking at some LT4 history at :
http://home.tir.com/~steveher/lt4logo.jpg
I read in the LT1 vs LT4 comparison that an EGR valve was not used in the LT4 intake because: "Overlap leaves EGR redundant". I assume they are referring to the cam, whose LT4 part number is "12551142".
I think this may be interesting for any of us thirdgenners using an aftermarket FI setup that don't have any EGR , or any of us who have wanted and aftermarket FI setup but are hesitant b/c there is no EGR.
I'll try and find the specs. I don't think its the LT4 hotcam though.

According the SDPC catalogue:
http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...d=989&pid=8354
"This hydraulic roller camshaft was used in production 1996 LT4 Corvettes. For use with 1.6 Rocker.
Mild camshaft with smooth idle can be used in all 1986-99 305-350 engines originally equipped with a hydraulic roller camshaft. It can also easily be used in non-roller 1986-99 305-350 enignes when used with lifter kit 12371042.
Works with stock computer on most computer controlled engines. This is an excellent power adder for 1987-95 TBI pick-ups and TBI/TPI cars. Can also be used in non-computer controlled engines."
I'm gettin kind of excited!
Might mean that I can run an LT1 intake and and LT4 cam and not need to fu(k w/ EGR emissions/inspection

So you think there is more involved than just swapping in an lt4 cam?
I don't know.
Been searching for anyone who has tried it.
