Salvage Yard 350 I Found -- Compatible?

My dad was looking through a salvage yard and saw an engine with "5.7L" stamped on the back of it. So he took down the casting number which was 10243880. We checked this at a number of places and it gave us:

"10243880...350...'95-'00...2 or 4-bolt...Vortec truck, Gen.I crate motors and "ZZ4", roller cam, one piece rear seal"

What exactly does this mean? Will this work in my '91 TBI RS (I was thinking of putting a carb on it)? I mean, I'd imagine it would.....but I was just double checking. The guy wants a hundred bucks for it...so I think I'll just go ahead and take it.

The heads on it seem to be L98 heads with a casting number of 14096217. When I checked this number I got:

"14096217...55-86...350..........Crate motor, 285hp/300hp, 64cc chambers, 72' or 90' center intake manifold bolt angles"

I checked another place and got:

"SBC Cast Iron L98 Center Bolt Valve Cover Head. This is a cast iron cylinder head assembly used on 285 hp 350 engine (P/N 12353641). This complete cylinder head assembly includes 1.94" intake valves, 1.50" exhaust valves, valve springs (P/N 3901068) and valve spring caps (P/N 14003978).
Technical Notes: This cylinder head has 64cc chambers. The cast number for this head is P/N 14101083 or 14096217 . This cylinder head has 1987 and later inlet manifold bolt pattern. The center two bolts are at a 72º angle."

Any issues I'm gonna have with this?

that motor should be a direct bolt in, I'm sure the heads will be fine on the motor but I'm not sure about the potential of them (performance wise). the 305 tbi will probably be bottleneck for performance on that motor, hell it is on the 305. I think there are some mods you can do to the tbi to increase performance.

there should be no other problems, the flywheel, and intake from your car shoulb bolt right up no problems.

if your really lucky it's from a low milage wreck and you can clean it up and run it like it is. if not it still isn't that expensive to rebuild it.

P.S. if it still has the ZZ4 cam in there it should produce good power.
