V6 front springs?

I am taking a 2.8 FI out of a 85 camaro and replacing it with a mild 370 horse 350. I am still running the 700r4 and stock v6 rear (3.42s). My question is do I have to change front springs? I been told if I use the v6 it will lift real hard on take off. This will be a weekend cruiser and Bracket ET car. Shooting for low 13s. What else will have to be swaped? motor mounts I know but does the v8 donor car I have have bigger brakes? etc...?

Thanks

-Terry-

I ran V6 springs in one of my old 82's and it lowered it about 1 1/2 inches. Never had a ground clearance issues. They will help with weight transfer. Brakes are the same. The frame mounts are the biggie. Radiator will need swapped as will about a hundred "little items" so keep the donor car handy. I believe the V6 tranny is different and will not bolt up to a V8..and if it does I really doubt it will last long....

you need a v-8 tranny. The bolt pattern is different.
