this is a bad *** discussion board with alot of helpful topics. Well as we all know, I found this page looking for help. I might not have a 3rd gen. body but I do have a chevy. 94 Z71 5.7 tbi for that matter. Anyway, I have been thinking about swapping my old dying 350 tbi for a 94 454 tbi. I know I would have to reprogram the prom and get the 454 throttle body but would everything else be a clean swap? Would my current 4L60e accept the big block?

It will bolt right up to the trans.

Your biggest problems will be accessories and exhaust.

I happen to have some of the exhaust parts for that laying around that aren't doing me any good.

 

I have heard that the exhaust is tight around the frame on the 4X4's. Would regular short tube headers work. My engine compartment has a lot of room to work and a 454 would fit nicely.
