Well it seems resonable priced and with the warranty i think its a fair price. I was just wondering if u guys think that the 2 bolt main could be a problem. Are these prone to problems?
Also.... If i was to put on a edelbrock 750cfm carb, a pair of headers, and a performer rpm intake what u think i could get on gas milage if i was to stay out of the pedal and with overdrive gear.

In my opnion you can do an LT1 swap for what they are asking. If you get the vette version you will get 300hp and much better mileage that than engine can provide.
The setup you described will probably get you around 16 mpg highway crusing. Carb engines are not efficient in terms of fuel consumption.
With the cam configuration specified. You will have to run 3.73 and high stall converter to put that engine in it's powerband quickly. If you are running an auto that thing will barely idle. You will probably have to set the speed close to 1,000 rpm.
This engine is built for power. If gas mileage is an issue I would not touch it.

The ECU is not an issue for you. When you get a LT1 setup it will come with its own PCM. The cost would be about the same (if not less) then that other setup because you had to buy an intake, carb, dist, etc.
I would suspect it would be an additional 4 or 6 hundered dollars depending on what your goals are and how you go about the wiring. LT1 swaps are becoming routine here. There is a lot of expertise on this site to help you with your conversion issues.

This is a radical street motor. More suited to a weekend drag car.
Don't expect any good mileage out of it.
It will have a radical rough idle with reduced manifold vacuum.
Your powerbrakes will not work well.
The cam is too big for a everyday street driver.
The proform rockers are cheap ****.
The heads are good.
This motor would be best matched with a 3500+ stall converter.
A near stock 2200 stall will cause poor initial acceleration
and poor idleing in gear.
Why don't you have a motor built to suit your purposes
instead of buying a combination that does not suit your needs
Won't cost any more. Probabily less over all.

Actually in my own quest for a new 350 engine I was given a link to this company http://www.desertperformance.com/engines.htm. They have a crate motor than can run on carb or with a TPI setup. It's a later model block. That looks like it would be better suited to your needs. (And mine.) Someone here on the board bought an engine from them and is really pleased with it.
326HP and 383TQ is not to bad for just under $2300.00. It also seems to be more complete than most crate engines I have found.
http://www.enginefactory.com has the most impressive turnkey engine packages I have found. But they want way to much money. They also favor Edlebrock parts for almost everything. I have heard alot of people on this board knock Edlebrock in alot of categories.
