Those guys there are on the money for conver stall speed. I would go the low air cleaner as well.
If you are worried about your converter feeling too loose check out a yank SS3600. They have the tightness and efficiency of a 2600 stall and give you the hard hiting STR of a 3600. Best of all is is 29LBS! Stock is 55. Of course it will set you back a few more dollars, but well worth it in my opinion.
Do not forget gears also play an important role in your selection. I did not recall seeing any trans or gear specs on your other thread.
