lowering engine in motor in mounts ?
Hi,
I am looking for a way to lower the engine at the motor mounts by about 1 inch. Here's the deal.
I swapped in a 383 with an aftermarket T-56 and a ford 9" (4.11's) into my 88 3rd gen. Spohn torque arm and trans mount. I can not get the drive shaft angle correct to eliminate vibration which starts at 65 mph.
I have raised the transmission until it hits the trans tunnel, after trimming unneccessary aluminum from trans housing. I have raised the car back up to stock level and still can not get a 0* angle at the tail shaft. Even with 2* negative at pinion.
I know others out there are successfully runing similar combinations. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There really is not much wiggle room in terms of lowering the engine. I woud concentrate on trying to correct the problem with the rear. Some angle on the shaft is normal. The trans and pinion angles have to be paralell.
