My wife has an 89 firebird 2.8. It was her first car so she wants to keep it but it is a bore to drive. I want to put a 350 in it and had some questions. Will I need a new tranny and rear to take the added power or was the same tranny and rear used for 6's and 8's for that year car. I was also considering just putting on a carberator and forgetting about switching the fuel injection to match the 350. Any good ideas from someone who knows about this kind of switch.
