3rd gen accs. brakets and LT1 motor

ok i got my motor dropped in and basically ready to go...
are there any of you guys thats done an LT1 swap and reused there GEN 1 brackets?...
the 2 bolts on the bottom and 1 on the head line up perfectly..but when i put the water pump on i can get the 2 on the bottom to line up...
i was thinking about cutting a notch in the brakect to "slide" over the water pump..has anyone done this?..

how much are LT1 brackets?...id have to get them new because there arent any junk yards around here with 4th gens..or LT1 cars for that matter

I would use corvette LT1 brackets. You can get them at street and performance www.hotrodlane.cc

You may have to call them. I am not sure they are listed in teh catalogue.
