Engine Wiring
Engine Wiring
I took the TPI 305 out of my 86 Camaro, and am goin to put a carbureted 350 in it. The only thing i am not sure of is wich wiring needs to stay and wich needs to go. So far i have been told that the ECM can be ripped completely out. I found all the lights so thats not a problem. But, how do i get power to the guages and the dash board? Anything else i am leaving out? let me know
Thanks
Thanks

the ecm doesnt affect the dash gauges, and lights. Be careful , I would suggest removing the wiring a little at a time...in the end, about all the wires coming from the pass. firewall can go

Just take out the ECM fuse, then turn the key 'on'.... you can even start the car if you want, of course it'll run terrible, and might even stall. But at least with the ECM disconnected from the 12 volt source, you'll be able to 'see' what works.... and what doesn't.
