Ok heres the deal,

I need a bad *** Cam for my 383ci in the 1500-5800 RPM range. I will be running sdpc vortec tpi setup with ported vortec heads, probably to like 180cc intake runners, and some work on the exhaust runners. I will be using asm runners, 52 or 58mm throttle body, and fully ported plenum. I want a nice lopy idle but very streetable, heres a cam i had in mind not sure though

cant remember part number but heres specs

218/224 duration @.50
454/470 lift
110 lobe seperation

What rocker should i use 1.5, or 1.6??

I NEED SUGGESTIONS!!!! ANyone running a 383 tpi thats fast let me know. Cause i want to hit mid 12's or lower.

I would like to know as well. I am getting ready to build the exact same thing. A TPI 383. However my cam would need to be emissions legal.

 

Give comp cams a call and see what they recommend.

 

Have you found anything else out about this? I am curious as I will be starting my buildup in the next couple weeks.
