LT1 T-56 can i use 4th gen clutch assembly
I was going to buy an LT1 with a T-56 for $2500. So I was wondering if I could go ahead and pull the clutch and brake assembly out of the same car and throw it in my third gen. If I can then it will be much easier to work with I think then trying to peice the clutch assembly together. Any help on this would be good.

Use the 4th gen master/slave cylinders along with the 4th gen clutch and flywheel assembly. Include the pedals too if you have a 700R4 to replace. That's what I've read anyway...

If your car is already a 5 speed, then that setup will work. The 4th gen setup will bolt in also. If I remember correctly, it's something like 3 bolts. Either way, it is easy to hook up and no peicing together should be necessary.
My car is not a manual its an auto already. I can get most of the parts I need from the donar car and if the tech article is right I should just have to cut the hole out that should already have an outline in the floorboard right? I know you have to mount the master cylinder on the firewall but if the motor is out already then it should be easy to get it in there correct.

The 4th gen pedals will fit, but they have the gas pedal assembly made to them. Most people cut it off; I don't know if you can use it with the gas pedal still attached.
