305 carb going out, 350 tpi diving in
ok i own an 83 TA, my daily driver. hoping to restore ect ect. I have an 88 firebird formula 350 (my donor car) i intended on restoring the 88 but found out it was too much work. So I decided to swap the 350 into the TA it has just a 305 carb. Im curious as to the wiring. my uncle is helping me do all the work and he doesn't have any clue on the wiring, so its my job to figure out what i can. I need a simplified diagram or instructions, i'm new to vehicles in general and never did anything like this before. the 88 ran fine except an occasional backfire, hoping its not major. Im only really worried about the wiring because I know its essential to having a TPI. Also how much would it help to just remove the smog box and emissions? If it just gets in the way i don't want it. i live in wisconsin we have no emissions here to let you know. Also I believe the 88 has a posi or something cause it grips nicely, how hard is it to swap a whole rear end? any help is appreciated as always. plan on doing this today just don't want to be left in the dark.
thanks again
