have a two year old tbi marine 454 sittin around and im going to put it in this year i was thinking of running a 700r4 ford 9'' i know i need to get the frame tied and alot of other reinforcements before the swap.my questoin is the cross member on my car now (92 firebird 5sp 305 tbi)is paper thin and how would i go about cooling it and what are your guys inputs on the trans rearend combo any answers are most appricated thanks

 

why would you want to cool a cross member

 

oh sorry i was talking about cooling the 454 not the cross member i never did or seen this type of swap beeing done i was just askin for a little help
