stock block to early block: what flywheel & clutch combo?
the stock engine in my 3rd gen is about dead. i have a 1969 350 to put in it.... but i have some flywheel/clutch questions.
for reference: my car is a 305 OR 350 (not sure anymore, it runs so bad) with a t-5, 2.73 gears but i plan to upgrade that eventually, probably to 3.23's. car is a daily driver, only been to the track with it once.
i know i need a flywheel for a 2pc rear main seal.
a) how many teeth should the flywheel be?
b) "externally balanced" or "internally balanced"? (internally, right?)
c) should i go with steel or aluminum?
d) starter? probably gonna have to buy a new one, eh?
e) can i use the clutch/pressure plate thats in the car right now? it was replaced less than 10k ago. if not, what clutch do you reccommend?
anything else i should know about?
thanks!!!

0. Use the flywheel for 83-85 305/T-5
1. 153
2. Internal
3. Yes; stay away from wood, lead, plastic, etc.
4. Yes, you'll need to use a starter; you may have to have your block drilled for the inner hole; if you have a 305/T-5 starter, it will work once the block is equipped with the correct hole
