305 TBI to a 350 TPI

As you all probably know, this is a bigger project than I ever thought it would be. I've decided to swap my '90 305 TBI to an '88 350 TPI. I have the motor, the fuel lines, the fuel pump, the top portion of the electirc fans, the wiring harness, the computer, and the complete TPI induction system. As I look under my hood, all I see is a mess of the original 305 harness. I'm wondering where to start. I still need to put in the fuel pump, which I understand is gonna be a huge pain. I don't know where to begin with my wiring harness and I have all these vacuum lines that I don't know where to put on my new 350. There are so many questions I have and I was just wondering if someone, who is familiar with this swap, could help me out. Thanks for your time and knowledge.

I suggest a Chiltons/Haynes manual. Or a shop manual

And pics of a TPI car's engine bay if you can get them. Probably plenty of engine bay pics around here, too hehe.

sorry, but that's all the help I can be, heh

I did the same swap, same year car and same year motor. Unfortunately my buddy John did all the wiring. It looked like a mess of spaghetti laid out all over the floor. I haven't a clue how he did it. I suggest to make things easier on yourself that you use both the accessory and ecm harness out of the donor car. I only had the ecm harness available which made things a pita for John as he had to splice my accessory harness to the 88 ecm harness. From the factory these two harnesses are interconnected on both 88 and 90 models. I can help you with questions regarding what parts will bolt up to what if you have any specific questions in that area.

I am very interested in doing this swap. Say I get all the parts from the donor car. Can I just take EVERYTHING out of my car and put all the donor stuff in and poof. I'm not big on wiring/ecm/computers. Is there something more to it?
