took engine out, a few questions.

OK i have a 86 z28 i took the engine out getting ready to put the 355 in a few questions tho, what do i do with all the old wires that dont hook up to the new engine? do i cut them and seal the ends? also can you take out the ecm or would that requiere rewiring, And what are the sending untits on the cylinder heads,what are those for also i took the distributor out and theres a chunk out of it i was planning on getting a petronix hei kit but now i need a distributor any suggestions hei or points all help is apreciated!

IF you plan on dumping the computer setup then yea, you could remove almost all the wires and vacuum lines assosiated with the engine. The sensors on the heads are coolant temp, drivers side is for your dash guage the passenger side is for your electric fan.

I would try to preserve the harness in case you want to drop in something high tech in the future.

IF you are going to a non computer controlled setup just unplug the ECM and accoiated wiering harness and stach it somewhere incase you ever need to return the car to stock.
