At first I wasn't sure if the 4thgen CAI was going to work for the 3rdgen. But then came across a bargin with the 4th gen K&N on ebay last week. Installed it this weekend it took about an hour but what an improvement to throttle response. Since I have speed density setup I ended needing a 3"pvc tubing between my new GM 1LE elbow and 4thgen CAI. The cold weather is helping out with motor performance. I'll have pics soon.

Nice car. Where is the MAF?

 

it's speed density....no MAF needed

 

It's unusual to see an LT1 in SD mode. IN general you can make more HP with the MAF in operation.
