i disagree, it would fit, it wouldn't be a bolt in type item though, and i'd expect to pay 4 or 5 digits for the swap

Ehh, I didnt find a version for the SBC... but the

eatons/roots type supercharger ..

With money, time, know how and patence anything will fit in anything. If I wanted to I could make a 800lb man in a squirel cage power my car. Will he suffer a heart attack with in a mile? Yes, but will he power the car, yes. Anyways it would be cheaper and a hella alot easier to stick a ATI or Vortech super charger under the hood or have a roots poking out on a sbc. But theres no fun in playing follow the leader either. If you have the $$$ a twin screw set up on a big block would be killer.

agreed, but in this case

this is a newbie asking this question, and just because he has to ask, in case, the best answer would be

no it will not fit

yes, it could be made to fit, and Whipple is the best Supoercharger out there, but also costs a sheesh load of $$$$$$$$$$$$$, which a procharger or vortech can be had for less. But it's your call.

I know money buys performance, style, etc. I just was not sure if the 4200(inline six) would fit because I don't know the lenth of the motor I don't wont to cut anything

yep, due to the oil pan and the inherent height of inline engines, and the mounts it uses, i assure you that cutting would be the easiest of the modifications, you would almost HAVE to figure out some way to modify the front frame (k-member) to clear the pan and everything else or cut into the floor and put a hell of a kink in the....nm...i don't wanna think about it...it'd just be entirely too much hassle

I think we had pretty much determined before that this engine isnt going to fit with any simplicity. I've seen it on a stand, it doesnt look promising at all. Its basically the same length +/- but the problem is the height, its alot taller at the front edge. Probably with a different crossmember and a cowl hood, it'd work, but I dont think the work is worth the effort when you can build up any number of other combos available that arent such a hassle and get similar results.

All I have to say is: WHY?

why would you want to try and retrofit a supercharger from an inline-six motor?

You don't mean you want the whole setup in your car, do you? The motor and supercharger?

Basic answer (i.e. bolt-on), no.

With fabrication, I'm sure you could, however even if you got it on there it wouldn't produce much boost on a 350 when it's designed for a 4.2L motor. It just wouldn't put out enough volume.

With fabrication.. anything is possible... that's a pretty gutsy swap.

no it wont fit right in like you want. get a procharger, they make something for everything. 4.2? why would you even look at that...
