301 turbo compatibility on 305 tpi?
I have a 86 305 tpi TA. It seems like parts from a 301 turbocharged trans am would make a nice add-on. I know I would have to fabricate some things to make the induction work. I was wondering if the 301 turbo exhaust manifolds would bolt to the 305? It also seems like the 4.9 301 turbo would work with the 305 5.0 since they are close in size / cubes. Any knowledge about interchanging these parts or past experience would be apreciated.

No. Won't happen.
The 301 was a Pontiac motor. The 305 is a Chevrolet motor. Absolutely nothing whatsoever will interchange between them, except for some distributor parts, spark plugs sometimes, and maybe a few of the bolts.
Considering that the 301 turbo put out less power than a L69 or your LB9, there's little incentive for doing all that work. Too much maze with too little cheese at the end.
One of htose things that looks good on paper, maybe, but won't fly in the real world.

Next thing, you'll be expecting a Thunderbird to shoot lightning bolts out it's ace.

not sure if that was a joke or not, if it was it was lame.
RB is right, nothing will work plus that 301 turbo motor was a boat anchor..
